WOW!!!

So check this out...

I'm sitting here on the internet at Ann Salzarulo-Mcguigan's house in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Ann a devoted worker for Plan and a huge advocate of childrens rights. Her and her husband Mike took me in for a few days while I was here in Guatemala. Today was an amazing day because I got to visit the community where I sponsor a child and this also just so happens to be the same community where the money is going to build two new classrooms. It was an amazing experience, something out of a movie. I cant wait to post the stories and the pictures...

Anyway...

I'm checking my email, doing the same old same old...my Mom's Birthday is coming up, I got to get back to some people. When....I open up the Plan newsletter and see MY FACE on the letter! I'm totally shocked. Aparently I got a quick write up and they sent out the link to the blog in hopes to raise awareness about this specific cause! HOW COOL!!!!!

Hey!

I found your blog through that very same PLAN newsletter. I just wanted to add in my words of encouragement. I came to know PLAN while I was a volunteer in Bolivia. I lived in a PLAN community and actually stayed in one of the schools that PLAN had built. Now I sponsor a child as well, mostly because I have seen the work that they do in the communities and can't think of a better way to support not only a single child but an entire town.

I think there's something amazing about being able to actually experience such amazing work. I am absolutely jealous of the time that you're able to spend biking through Central America and am delighted that I am able to follow a bit of it through your blog. Keep up the amazing work and know that there are plenty of us that are excited to journey with you, even if it is only virtually.

I'll be sending positive thoughts your way!

Peace,
Megan in Chicago
